Coahoma County, Mississippi, ranked eleventh by the fund in the United States with aaverage of only 70.1. With an average life expectancy of 74.2 years, Louisiana ranked third in the table, followed by Texas (74.4) and South Carolina (74.8).

In a surprising conclusion after a 'while looking in all fifty U.S. states and the District of Columbia, the researchers found that American life expectancy is less affected than one might expect from such things as personal income, insurance, inadequate health care, or violence and more by factors such as disease chronicor injury.
