Noam Chomsky on US Economic Crisis: Joblessness, Excessive Military Spending and Healthcare

DemocracyNow.org - President Obama sent his new jobs proposal to Congress on Monday with a plan to pay for the $447 billion package by raising taxes on the wealthy. Democracy Now! interviews MIT Professor Emeritus Noam Chomsky, who says "huge military spending, a very low taxes by the rich [and corporations] ... those are problems, fundamental problems that have to be dealt with if there is going to be anything like successful economic and social development in the United States." As Republican presidential candidate, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, calls Social Security a "ponzi scheme," and Democrats buy into the narrative that the program is in crisis, Chomsky notes that, "To worry about a possible problem 30 years from now, which can incidentally be fixed with a little bit of tampering here and there, as was done in 1983, to worry about that makes absolutely no sense unless you're trying to destroy the program." Aquarians and the Coming Age of Aquarius

Twelve Nations of the Zodiac Each of us cycles through the Signs of the ancient Zodiac, though the order of this cycle is not known. While here on Earth we meet members of The Twelve, each forming a mystical 'nation' with language and customs all its own.

Even if you are not an Aquarian by Sun Sign, it can be well worth some investigation! You may have someone very important in your life who is an Aquarian and a little extra insight can only help. And, everyone has the Sign of Aquarius governing one of the 12 houses in their birth chart. If this is the 1st house, Aquarius is your Rising Sign or Ascendant and really, is the "other half" of your Self, partnered with your Sun Sign. If you have several planets (or the goddesses or Lilith, Chiron, Saturn, or Uranus, for example) in Aquarius, then you are more of an Aquarian than you know!

If you discover you have Venus in Aquarius - or Mars in Aquarius - this can change your entire self-understanding, for Venus rules not only our partnerships - including marriage - but to a large extent our friendships and the quality and tone of all our relationships. This is true of the material world we attract into our life, including of course our financial resources.

Each of us, at some point in our Earth History, is born into the Aquarian Sign, probably many times in the course of great Cycles of Time here on Earth. As we head into the Age of Aquarius, we are, in a way, all Aquarians now, for we will collectively experience the Aquarian archetype in a way not seen on Earth, for a long, long time...

We are not sure when The Age of Aqarius begins. Some think it began in the Sixties, with the explosion of the Baby Boomers into the world. Some feel it will start when Pluto, the karmic and evolutionary planet par excellence, moves into Aquarius in 2023 and remains there through 2043. The Age itself will last around 2,000 years, and if Uranus and Saturn have anything at all to do with it, we may have to hold onto our hats! Nothing about the Sixties was simple. The transformations begun were deep, mysterious and in some ways, even disturbing...much Uranus earthquake debris has had to be revisited, and sorted through, by Saturn. In any case, here's to the Age of Aquarius - it looks like we'll be finding the Maps as we go along...

Sun Sign as Archetype Each Sun Sign represents a major Archetype or cosmic pattern - a flowing, dynamic field of energy which enfolds, shapes and interacts with a given person, two people, or group of persons - even nations - in a given time. An Archetype is an emanation of God - one of the Energy Patterns/Stories in the Creator's Mind. Hence we refer to the archetypes as gods and goddesses. They are mysteries which we honor, and whose force we acknowledge and respect.

Archetypes encompass Past, Present and Future. They also contain their own opposites, which in a way, helps us to work through their main "lesson" - the moral of the story. Each has a strength, and each its weakness or Achilles heel. Like the great tales from mythology, we connect, as the Hero of the story, with qualities within us - the Dark and the Light - of which we had been completely unaware. As we come to know these mysteries of the Self, our story unfolds outward, to join with, and to become part of, the World we create with others.

The Sun Sign is one of the Hero's many Roads - the one we have chosen for this life...we cannot put it in a bottle or under a microscope - any more than an actor or actress can become too self-conscious when acting their role. We have to throw ourselves into being ourselves - and not look back in over-analysis or too many "if only's..." We are on a journey of exploration and self-expression in the cosmos. We are not entirely in charge of this journey! So ride the wave and don't be too concerned about the negatives of your Sun Sign - because those negatives are actually part of the positives, but this we only understand in the fullness of time.

Aquarius * Bearer of Mysterious Waters The Water Bearer - symbol of Aquarius - hints at a heavenly or esoteric essence, which Aquarius alone brings to humanity. The Waters are associated with life-giving water for the planet Earth - and this may lie in the original "gods" who taught irrigation to early human beings on the planet (see Enki, below). The Waters are also said to be symbolic of the waters of spiritual life - Aquarius symbolized baptism in some faiths, including Christian.

Ancient teachings hint that the "waters" are actually a kind of force field or energy field, better understood through physics than through the earth sciences and the waters of our oceans and the rains. The Waters of Aquarius certainly appear to be connected with Neptune, but this may be less to do with the seas on earth, and more to do with a kind of Cosmic Sea. There are a great many Sumerian tablets whose writings contain a rich mythology, which, as Zecharia Sitchin has suggested, may actually be history, and not legend. Beginning with The Twelfth Planet, Sitchin lays out what the tablets say about the gods/astronauts who came to the Earth hundreds of thousands of years ago. Astrology - in terms of the 12 signs of the Zodiac, and the celestial and earth timing used by the astronauts, played a vital role in the visits of these "gods" and their role in creating humanity along with establishing rich gardens of civilization across the face of the earth.

In a fascinating description of how our solar system was created, the "gods" describe in detail the original act of conception between a solitary pair of planets floating in a rich sea of Waters which became the Petrie dish for the creation, one by one, of each of the major planets in our solar system. As a final touch in the somewhat turbulent emergence and stabilization of the solar system, it was said that it was Neptune's odd, magnetic, hypnotic energy field which ultimately held the other planets in their orbits. Interestingly, Sumerian records show that these early "gods" - and the Sumerian civilization they nurtured - knew about all the planets in our solar system, including Uranus, "discovered" in 1781 which is the outer planet that co-rules Aquarius with Saturn. They also associated Aquarius with perhaps the most remarkable of all the astronauts, a "god" called Enki.

Enki * Ancient Origins of the Aquarius Archetype Enki is very similar to Prometheus, who stole Fire from the Gods to give to Mankind. The theme is oddly the same, for Enki gave to early humanity the practical plans and blueprints for civilization, such as the science of irrigation. Enki is said to have defended Humanity from his brother gods, when they were disappointed with our moral weaknesses (specifically, obsession with sex, it seems), and to have given the plans for the Ark before the Flood to the original Noah, whose story was later, along with others, lifted from Sumerian records to form the early books of the Bible.

Enki was always associated in Sumerian records with Aquarius, but was also in some contexts associated with the sign of Capricorn (planet Saturn) and sign of Pisces (planet Neptune). It appears that this triple designation comes from both the "ages" in which he visited and worked on Earth, and to the kind of work, as a science officer, he performed. If Enki is the ultimate archetype for Aquarius, this may be why Aquarius is more complex - and also more mysterious - than is so often portrayed in Astrology.

Earth-Centered Aquarius Enki was the science officer and genetics specialist. The ancient tablets from Sumer state that it was Enki, with the help of a Mother Goddess who was also a specialist in this area, who physically created humanity. They did this by blending the DNA of one of the young gods with that of early Man - a "primitive" found already evolving on earth. Enki loved humanity as a father, in that sense, and continued to nurture and develop all civilization, as he was the keeper of the great technological keys for agriculture, irrigation, and much more.

Aquarius represents, through this amazing historical record, a unique bridge between the "gods and men" - including the genetic bridge. This creates an aura of mystery around Aquarius as a sign, and suggests hidden reasons why Aquarians always feel as if they are "strangers in a strange land". As participants in the Enki archetype, Aquarians do feel an immense sense of connectedness and indeed, responsibility for, the fate of humanity. Humanitarian issues like refugees, feeding the hungry, freedom of movement, speech, thought and association are all concerns to which the Aquarian, and the Aquarius part of each person's birth chart, will resonate. The formation of international bodies such as the War Crimes Tribunal and the United Nations is a direction for humanity which Aquarians will tend not to see as some fearful New World Order but rather welcome its coming as freedom from the tyranny of secretive houses, closed off villages, nations behind barbed wire, and so on. As we shall see, Aquarians promote freedom and revolution (Uranus), but justice, order and world courts (Saturn) too.

Aquarius "remembers" that while we carry the genes of the early humans within us, we take out "image" from those who came from the Stars - out there. These memories convey a keen sense of destiny beckoning us toward the starry heavens. We feel them awaken in astrology, astronomy, NASA, science fiction, Star Trek, Star Wars, and in our longing hearts as we look upwards on a clear night. The Aquarian essence of humanity reminds us, collectively, of our destiny...that we are not forever earthbound, but will become a song of Life on the solar winds. Just as ancient space travellers like Enki helped to carry out the Creator's plan, so we too will carry ourselves, as the Seed Children, to other planets, other systems, other worlds.

Saturn and Uranus - Chakra Wheels of Aquarius We come to understand the sign and archetypal energy of Aquarius through the story of Enki - science-oriented, rebellious, freedom-defending archetype of Enki - Bringer of Gifts to Humanity. But there are other forces at work in Aquarius and other ways to meet and understand this sign. There are the two huge planets that rule Aquarius - Uranus, The Great Awakener and Saturn, Father of Time and Lord of Karma. The Aquarian can best be understood as a person and as a force for change when we understand these two planets and how they work together.

Whether you are an Aquarian or have one in your life, you may find you have signed on for deep, often violent, shocking awakenings - these resonate to Uranus, the modern ruling planet of Aquarius. However - the awakening of Uranus seems then to be followed by a period of equally intense shaping, disciplining, teaching, and chastening energies - these will be Saturn, ancient ruler of Aquarius, and known as the Lord of Karma!

So Uranus brings revolution, but Saturn goes back, retraces the steps as to why the revolution was needed, examines the science and philosophy involved, and works out new Laws to contain and direct the new architecture rising on the ruins that Uranus has left behind.

The Aquarian Archetype and its ruling planets are about violent change, upheaval, accounting, facing truth, and reaping of karma. Aquarians - and the Age of Aquarius - will bring dramatic, sweeping and often disturbing changes into our lives and into planetary history. It is hard to imagine where we got the idea that The Aquarian Age was going to be so suddenly harmonious. We already see and feel around us the immense political, climatic and spiritual upheavals across this planet which may reach a level of instability which will threaten the survival of this world...whether it survives, or does not, and is "reborn" as worlds often are, is beyond our knowledge now. However, when the Uranus forces - bombs, revolutions, earthquakes, electrical storms, and the empowerment of the masses via the internet - are finished, it will require the other shoe to drop - the Saturnian elements of order, rebuilding and various forms of truth and reconciliation - to complete the Age of Aquarius.

The Aquarian Personality * Uranus and Saturn Aquarians are freedom-lovers, social challengers, stereotype-breakers, and innovators. They can change direction at a moment's notice. That is Uranus breathing through them! At the same time, Aquarians can be conservative, traditional, deeply loyal, stubborn, and fixated on justice not served. That is Saturn talking - usually lecturing! The Aquarian is thus strangely gifted at not only tearing down, but also building - if given the right opportunity. Aquarians can write laws and constitutions, and are found creating systems everywhere, whether in office procedures manuals, Mozart's great compositions, Einstein's new laws of the universe, Lincoln's proclamation of freedom for the slaves, and so on.

It is a mistake to overlook the role of Saturn in the life, gifts, and burdens of Aquarians. To live their Sun Sign, Aquarians need to accept without guilt or regret that they bring challenge to the lives of others, but Saturn makes them brood and worry, and doubt their own wunderkind Uranus-style energies. The Aquarius is always aware, at some level, that 'here" is only part-way there. There is always the feeling that the road of Humanity is still a long one, and that it somehow falls to the Aquarian, more than to other signs, to lead the way, to find the cure, to make the peace, or to raise the flag of freedom and revolution. Aquarians feel a deep need to love and be loved, yet also feel, as in a tragic play on stage, that in the end, they will have to ride off into the sunset, to find another people in need of a leader, or another town in need of a sheriff. The peculiar sense of history living through the Aquarian, of having to share his or her life with "something larger", is one of the most powerful aspects of this archetypal Sign.

Relationships with Aquarians It is often observed that it is hard to get close to an Aquarian, that Aquarius is an Air Sign and thus intellectually gifted but emotionally cold. Yet this is not thought to be the case with Air Signs Libra and Gemini. There is something innately abstract about the Aquarian Soul, as if the price of certain gifts is the loss of others. One of the lost gifts is the ability to merge with others - as if this would be so destructive to the purpose of Aquarius that it has been made almost genetically impossible for Aquarians to really seek, accept or achieve intimacy. For this reason, of course, the rest of the "typical profile" holds - Aquarians have a very low tolerance for the more clinging, dependent personality type, as such people will almost drown their souls. They will value most highly someone who has goals and aspirations beyond them the relationship itself, so that the Aquarian is assured that they are not themselves going to be the focus of intense personal drives.

For many people the ultimate idea of happiness is to be completely indispensable to someone, and in turn, they offer such status to their partner or friend. This makes a relationship akin to staking a claim, really, of a kind of ownership. This is extremely uncomfortable for the Aquarian, but there are reasons why. For the Aquarian, staking a claim to someone, as one might a gold mine, runs counter to the spiritual requirement to recognize the complete freedom of another human being. "Ownership" of another being, even an animal, seems foreign - a form of slavery. An Aquarian asks: "Aren't we fighting all over the world to free our brothers and sisters from the chains of being owned? Why would I want to own you, or have you somehow acquire "rights" to me?"

Often people complain that the interests and enquiring minds of Aquarians can be overwhelming. They feel they are in the presence of a force of nature, a gust of mental energy sweeping them up like a whirlwind, rather than a "normal" everyday person. They feel that the Aquarian's futuristic, restless urge to explore new frontiers suggests lack of contentment with the status quo, and this can undermine a relationship. But the reverse is often true - Aquarians find many non-Aquarians underwhelming, and feel depressed and alienated when their dreams and visions are misinterpreted, resented, and in numerous subtle or open ways, rejected. Aquarians will panic when incarcerated within needy emotional webs, and feel existential pain in an exchange where their ideas meet with a blank stare or a change of subject.

The Soul, for the Aquarian, is what the person's "essence" really is - that is why an Aquarian may seem to find your everyday doings and personality uninteresting! But if an Aquarian can connect with your soul, and you are interested in his, then the bond will be instant and forever, regardless of the worldly obstacles or setbacks which may come. Because the soul connection comes most naturally to an Aquarian, friendship is in many ways the most natural relationship for an Aquarian. Freedom, easygoing companionship, shared interests and ideals, all these succeed where emotional demands and social measurements simply drive the Aquarian into first depression, then desperation, and finally flight.

Aquarius In Love In the end, perhaps only an Aquarian can know and love another Aquarian, though Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Gemini can make good partners. Aquarius appreciates the deep, silent, unquestioning loyalty of Leo, Sagittarius' quest for knowledge, the piercing, searching intensity of Scorpio, the mental gifts of Virgo, Libra's quest for justice, Gemini's variety of interests and verbal skills, Capricorn's serious approach to life (they are both ruled by Saturn), and the innovative, fearless leadership of Aries. Aquarius can be overwhelmed by, and distrustful of, the secrecy and emotional needs of the Water Signs - Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The Aquarian does love mystery and drama along with freedom, however, and this combination often leads them into odd relationships - with someone who is married, in jail, of another race or culture, possibly (with Saturn in the background denoting karma) handicapped or dealing with a serious karmic problem. This of course can draw the Scorpio personality - and the shadow of Pluto's secrets - directly to an Aquarian. The fact is, all relationships form, and un-form, as karma rises and fades in our lives - until we break free of old patterns, so one's astrological sign is not the final word. It is often, however, the first word!

Aquarian males and females are curiously alike since Aquarius is somewhat androgynous. Aquarians are capable of painfully obsessive love, which seems to possess them with the wind and fury of their ruling planet Uranus...and often in conflict with their higher ideals, as Saturn will remind them. Inevitably, it seems, the Aquarian will return to a solitary path, unless he or she can find that comfortable, roomy relationship that starts and ends with friendship between equals.

Aquarius Woman She will touch the life of a man with an unforgettable yearning for something he may never grasp, but is awakened to. The Animus in the Aquarian Woman is cosmic, spiritual, and magical. Thus home, fireside and babies can be foreign to her. She can however transform a home and family with her playful, ever-young presence, and she can be deeply, fiercely loyal to a man who seeks redemption and transformation. Pick an Aquarian woman if you have a strong heart and powerful ideals; if you need intuitive understanding and acceptance of what makes you different from the crowd. An Aquarian woman will forgive you much, but don't - even once - lie to her. This is true of an Aquarian man, perhaps even more so, because a woman's lies will damage his Anima - though he may rally, if he feels you really need rescuing! Children will love an Aquarian woman, and she will defend and nurture their uniqueness. She will touch their souls, and stress knowledge, friendship and equality as values.

Aquarius Man If you love an Aquarian man, don't look for social status, money or security. He may become famous, yet lose it all, often through no fault of his own, as part of the Aquarian Archetype. Be prepared to share him with his work, and understand it is always, for him, a kind of priesthood no matter how humble his setting. Aquarian males can also be attracted to the underworld of crime, simply because of its wild Uranus lawlessness, only to discover that Saturn rules the mob with an iron hand!

Aquarian men have been not only revolutionaries in history, but a large percentage of those called geniuses have been Aquarian males. There is a one-pointedness, an intensity of focus combined with other-worldly attunement, that makes such a man hard to engage in a sustained, day-to-day manner.

However, he can be a surprisingly good family man, provided he is not a closet priest or flirting with underworld connections! Ronald Reagan was an Aquarian man who did - and had - it all! He had the fame, the first divorce, and somewhat unorthodox children and family life, but he also was one-half of an amazing love story that lasted through to his death, and beyond. The Aquarian male is surprised by the warmth of love and family, but often grows into it quite nicely! He can be a delightful father, but not always in the conventional sense, for he may be more interested in a child's original ideas and values than in shaping them in a parental style. Aquarian men often seem to have had truly dominant father figures (Saturn) and in turn, they can spend their lives remaining rebellious teenage males. The child in him does not accept authority, any more than the adult in him does, and he is uncomfortable when forced to discipline anyone, including his children - so may do it badly.

An Aquarian man can, when pushed too hard to be head of the family, become harsh and emotionally or even physically violent with their families (Saturn, Uranus). This is because they are uncomfortable in a fully adult role - and under pressure will revert to the dominant archetypal Saturn male against which they have spent their lives rebelling. He will learn quite happily however to share home chores and is an ideal house-husband for he needs the protection of a home and appreciates it more than most. Aquarian men and woman are both androgynous and will work together as comrades, be it making dinner or fixing the car, so they can, if they recognize it, be most compatible partnered with another Aquarian. If it is your dharma - or perhaps your karma! - to love an Aquarian, awaken your inner vision of humanity - its common dreams - and you will walk hand and hand in freedom out into the Stars.

Aquarians and Group Karma The Aquarian can suffer from the darker aspects of the collective consciousness so much a part of his sign. Aquarians are often tentative, marginal members of a group to start with, seeming to hold themselves ready to leave at any moment. The Aquarian often suffers deeply as a result of, and as the focus of, group dynamics. It is as if the Aquarian, that the World (Saturn in the Tarot) - and all its "noble causes" - is still Maya to be passed through and left behind. Aquarians frequently absorb group karma such that they suddenly, without warning, become the "scapegoat" onto which the unowned, and disowned self- transformative urges of the group become projected... The group will be changed, and often for the better, in the end...but in the process the group, as an entity, will literally drive the Aquarius away. He or she must set out, once again, alone on the Road - like the Fool of the Tarot.

Aquarius * Darkness At Noon The task of the Aquarius Archetype is the evolution of civilization through dramatic, revolutionary break-throughs that affect grass-roots humanity. Technological scientific knowledge is one branch of Aquarius' contribution. The political framework of peace, justice and equality for all is the other branch. Without the political vision, there will be no Earth. Aquarius must rise above personal desires and ambitions in order to make a contribution to the good of the whole. The karmic trap, weakness, Achilles heel of Aquarius is in making these large altruistic goals into obsessions that are in fact extensions of the Aquarian's Ego.

Throughout history, this theme has manifested in Aquarian revolutions in which humanity has been sacrificed to the personal ambitions of visionary leaders who tolerate no obstacles to their own plans. The secret societies which believe themselves to be the carriers of the Great Blueprint for humanity have often been behind such dramatic events as the French Revolution, and the founding of America. These secret societies, many linked to Christianity, Judaism and mystic Paganism, have given birth to vast experiments (truly Uranus!) in human political life which have been disastrous for humanity as a whole. The roots of these transformative efforts (communism, fascism and the occult blueprint of the French Revolution) lie in the legends and archetypes of those who first came from Space to help seed and develop this planet. There are glimpses of the experimental genius gone bad in Atlantis - as channeled through Edgar Cayce.

Mother Russia Russia is said to be ruled by Aquarius, and its Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, was led by Lenin, whose Moon was in Aquarius. The revolution was a truly Aquarian enterprise in the scope of its vision (Moon), violence (Uranus) and obsession with authority, control and reshaping (Saturn). It was only fitting that it would be an Aquarian, Boris Yeltsin, who in 1989 broke apart the last rotten walls of the Soviet Union. Yet, the post-Soviet era in Russia has not progressed beyond the revolutionary chaos of Uranus to the orderly development of Saturn. Uranus still haunts Russia in the internal lawlessness that prevails. Saturn's presence is seen only in the new secret police, the oligarchs and their bag-men - enforcers of codes and "laws" best suited to the underworld.

American Dreams Closer to home, Dick Cheney is an Aquarius and he certainly led the "Neo-Conservative" and Christian-Zionist attempt to remake the Middle East in a grand vision beginning with the ill-starred invasion of Iraq. The violence of Uranus has hardly abated in Iraq, and such elements of Saturn as are present have been mostly its worst features - justice turned into vengeance, order turned into tyranny and control turned into organized cruelty - Guantanamo Bay and the Patriot Act cast the dark shadow of Saturn's totalitarian streak across the United States and other nations who followed so willingly along.

The United States has an Aquarian Moon, and many strongly Aquarian presidents, but her dreams for mankind have yet to be shown to be worth the price that has been paid for American Aquarian visions. The genocides - of the Native American peoples, of the buffalo - and the oppressions - in Vietnam, Iraq, West Bank and Gaza, (open-air concentration camps run by a US-backed Israel) - all these were born under these "grand visions" and schemes so deeply linked to the controlling, Big-Picture drives of Aquarius.

The current US president, Barak Obama, has Aquarius Rising, and Jupiter in Aquarius as well - Grand Dreams indeed! While some fear he will fail in his great visions, others fear he may succeed. It is too soon to tell what America - and this latest of many Presidents with strong Aquarian features - will do for itself and for the world. But the time of reckoning grows closer...

Aquarius * Light At Dawn Cautionary tales indeed...Aquarius can create a perfect Karmic Storm, tossing us back and forth between the worst features of both Uranus and Saturn. It is as if Saturn can so quickly become the driving, narrow, cruel Ego, and Uranus can become the eruption of the contents of the Unconscious in the life of an individual or in that of a nation. Only a powerful philosophical and spiritual framework can hold these twin forces in check. The Ego yields to the Spirit so that Saturn becomes the indwelling teacher and shaman, while Uranus yields to the direction of the Higher Self - blending the wild, creative, free elements of Soul with love and higher purpose.

In each Aquarian's life, these vast themes will play out in much smaller, but often very dramatic forms. Of all the signs, Aquarius is the most likely to mystify those who live within it and through it as an archetype, and those drawn into its waves of energy. Yet it is through the Aquarian Archtype, wherever it lies in our charts, that we see further and farther than the horizons, and hear distant drummers in other realms.

We are all Aquarians in the Aquarian Age, in ways we may not see on the surface of our lives. But as the Dawn Light breaks, the Big Jet carrying Humanity taxies down the runway, is turning now, getting set for its final run. Building speed not seen for thousands of years, it will lift off at last, and take us home to the Stars.

Eight Barriers to Critical Thinking

All too often we fall prey to patterns of thought that are comfortable to us without analyzing their effectiveness. When this happens we may not get the desired results because we haven't asked the right questions or asked enough of them to arrive at the best response to a problem.

Researchers and management specialists have identified more than 100 different barriers that prevent effective critical thinking, but there are eight roadblocks that all executives should burn into their memory. To help remember these eight, here is an acronym for them - CAT MAGIC.

1. Confirmation bias -

bending evidence to fit one's beliefs. How many times do executives look for information that supports their point of view as opposed to seeking evidence that is individually or group "neutral?" "The best way to fight this natural temptation of confirmation bias is to actively seek information that disproves your beliefs.

2. Attribution (or self-serving) bias -

the belief that good things happen to us because of internal factors and bad things happen to us because of external factors, while the reverse is true with others. This bias causes us to pigeonhole the actions of others, especially bad behavior, as strictly the fault of the individual and not circumstances.

3. Trusting testimonial evidence -

the fallacy of believing information from someone else, even if there is no evidence to support their statements. Studies have consistently shown individuals are more likely to buy something on the recommendation of others than the strength of advertising or some other marketing effort, yet how many of those same people actually know the veracity of those recommendations?

4. Memory lapses -

while this barrier seems on the surface to be fairly self-explanatory (everybody has gaps in memory), its danger lies in the common human trait of filling in the memory gaps with information that may or may not be true. In other words, we make things up as we go along, which often prevents us from arriving at more fact-based decisions.

5. Accepting authority without question -

a behavior documented by the famous experiments of researcher Stanley Milgram in which many people were willing to administer increasingly more powerful shocks to other people on the orders of an authority figure, even though they weren't sure it was the right thing to do. This critical thinking failure continues to manifest itself today in the blind acceptance to people with questionable degrees or expertise.

6. Generalizing from too few observations -

a common practice in consumer marketing where a small group of people in a focus group determine the direction of multi-million dollar ad campaigns, even though the opinions of those people cannot be projected onto a larger population. The same occurrence happens when a small group of executives or board members discuss an issue. We must constantly resist the temptation to take these informational shortcuts. For example, one way to counter the built-in bias of small groups is to seek out the unvarnished input from employees lower on the organizational chart.

7. Ignorance and the failure to admit it -

a trait that leads to fabricated information and wild speculation. Nobody wants to look foolish, so instead of admitting his or her lack of knowledge a person may fake it and then explain the fakery in a way that makes it seem true. Beware of those who are quick with answers or slow to admit they don't know something.

8. Coincidence (or the Law of Truly Large Numbers) -

the mistaken belief that pieces of information have causality when, in fact, they are the result of a pure coincidence or the law of large numbers. Any large block of data will show connections, but those connections most likely have no other meaning. For example, some hospital CEOs will likely have red hair, but no other link can be made between being a CEO and red hair. Yet, we often attach causal links to events or date where no links exist.

Like any other behavior in life worth doing, good critical thinking is all about turning ideas into habitual behavior. You first have to recognize that their critical thinking skills might not be up to par and then you must go about improving them. Only when you start applying those news skills again and again to a variety of circumstances will the skills stick and generate results. Critical thinking must become a force of habit for top leaders, much like their breathing. It must become part of your leadership core.

121 Persuasive Techniques to Influence People

All of us live different lives and there may be some of you out there who go into battle each and every day within your own society. For that reason, I created a list of all the known persuasion techniques that master persuaders use to influence people and get what they want.

Nevertheless, please take note that with great power comes great responsibility. Always use your knowledge for the benefit of everyone and not just your own. Do you get that, Spidey?

How To Make People Cooperate

1. Humor - If you can make people laugh, you make them feel good. This allows you to easily establish a relationship with them.

2. Smile - First impressions last, and first impressions created with a smile is definitely an advantage. Try smiling at every person you come across the street and you'll see what I mean.

3. Respect - We all know that respect is earned and not given. However, you should always give respect, initially, to any person you meet. It's always easy to do a favor for someone who shows you respect.

4. Build instant rapport - People who can create rapport instantly with anyone has more friends and can establish good relationships than those who can't.

5. Use body language - Understanding body language is part of the plan. Our everyday communication is 55% body language. Although you get the signals unconsciously from the people you talk to, knowing how to consciously recognize these signals is a plus in the art of persuasion.

6. The Halo Effect - We usually categorize people as generally good or generally bad. Any trait that you show to a person in the future can be influenced by what you show today. Make sure that anyone you meet today will get the impression that you are generally good.

7. Similarity - Birds of the same feather, flock together, don't they? If you can always find a way to immediately learn what's similar between you and the other person, you can easily create a bond. This bond will eventually develop into trust which is always what you need to get people to do something for you.

8. Goodwill - Always be genuine when showing interest in other people. Being sincere about your concern for other people will make them like you quicker.

9. Bonding - People's names sound like jingle bells to their ears. Call people by their names and they will give you more attention.

The Mirroring and Matching Techniques

10. Mirror their language - Mirroring is a technique used in neuro-linguistic programming to unconsciously establish rapport with a person. Using the same kind of language that the other person is using can help you build that rapport in no time at all.

11. Match their breathing - Breathing alone can help you establish rapport that you will use in persuasion. The effectiveness of this technique relies on its concealment. Who will ever notice that someone is trying to copy their breathing pattern anyway?

12. Match their voice - Matching a person's voice works on the unconscious level as all of the mirroring techniques you see here.

13. Mirror their moods - When a friend of yours is in a bad mood, do you approach them with a joke? Of course not. Always determine people's mood before you try and make them do what you want.

14. Match their energy level - A person's energy level will give you an indication of how prone they are to suggestions. If you can be as happy or lively as they are, it may be much easier for you to lead them toward your plan.

Applying Cognitive Dissonance

15. Create commitments - If you can get people to commit, it is more likely for that person to do what you've asked them to do. They will be left with an uncomfortable feeling that will last for a certain time if they do so otherwise.

16. Use written commitments - Written commitments are stronger than verbal agreements. Aside from that, it can serve as some kind of contract between you and the other person.

17. Create public commitments - Even stronger than written commitments are public commitments. Not only will there be a concern about the relationship, the person's reputation is also at stake.

18. Use external incentives - Business people always use incentives for their employees. Although the motivation it provides only lasts for a short period, it still gets the job done.

19. Always make them say "Yes" - This is a kind of conditioning wherein the person's response is matched with the stimulus you provide which, in this case, is your request.

20. Make them give an effort - If you can get people to invest an effort, it's more likely that they will stick to your plans or execute your requests.

21. Create dissonance and offer a solution - If you're planning to make someone feel uncomfortable to get them to do what you want, just make sure to offer a way out.

Creating A Sense Of Obligation

22. Gift giving - How do you feel when someone gives you a gift and you don't have anything to give back? Pretty awful, isn't it? You'll likely say, "Geez, don't have anything for you. Just let me know if you need anything..." Ain't that powerful?

23. Mutual concession - There will be times when someone will try to influence your mind wherein you might feel helpless after realizing you don't agree to what just happened. Don't worry! What the other person does not know is that he/she is just as vulnerable when it's your turn to make them agree to your demand.

24. Give a favor, get one back - Sometimes, people will do things for you whether you like it or not. The problem with this is that it generates a need to reciprocate within the recipient's mind. If you're a generous person who finds happiness in giving favors for other people without expecting anything in return, just make sure you let them know.

25. Sharing secrets - Share a secret to create a bond, a sense of obligation, and a feeling of trust. Just remember, the kinds of secrets you share should depend on the kind of person you're sharing it with.

The Power Of Groupthink

26. Create a group - The larger the group, the better. Humans have a strong need to socialize. People attach themselves to groups to have a sense of belonging. If you want people to conform with your ideals, strengthen the group and make it grow.

27. Make everyone familiar - If you can get people to strongly identify with your group, the easier it will be to influence their behavior. Also make sure that everyone is similar in the way they think.

28. Establish your principles - Companies usually have principles which they package in the form of mission and vision statements. It's important that people within your organization or your group learn to adhere to these principles.

The Law Of Scarcity

29. Illustrate the potential loss - The possibility of losing someone or something may sometimes make us feel that our freedom is being restricted. Sometimes, people act irrational when this happens. When you're offering a product or a service, add a sense of potential loss and see how much difference it makes.

30. Tell them they can't have it - At times it makes you wonder why you'll try everything to get something you can't have. Freedom of choice may have something to do with it.

31. Increase demand; limit the supply - When there's a strong demand for a product or a service, people tend to flock toward it. People are always inclined to purchase that which is in-demand.

32. Create an appeal - To generate interest in you or what you have, create an appeal by making yourself appear special. Surround yourself with good company and fancy objects to attract more people.

33. Show exclusivity - When you try the previous suggestion, you're already making yourself exclusive. People just can't get to you and they have to work their way through obstacles (if you want to call it that). The mere effort of trying to get close to you will give you an assurance that they will do anything to please you.

34. Announce a deadline - Procrastination is your biggest enemy. To make sure that your requests or instructions are executed at the time you expect it to be done, always put up a deadline.

35. Restrict their freedom - A person's desire always influences his/her behavior. Once you tell people that they can't have something, the more they will clamor for it. Believe me, this trick is a favorite amongst presidents.

The Language of Persuasion

36. Use double speak - Avoid using offensive words and substitute them with less offensive ones. For example: use "mentally challenged" instead of "idiot," "communication" instead of "propaganda," "enhanced interrogation" instead of "torture," and so on.

37. Play with numbers - When you are demonstrating something, play around with numbers in your attempt to persuade. Try something like, "close to nine out of ten" or "fewer than five out of every..."

38. Use positive words - What you want is for people to feel confident and comfortable in doing what you want. Hence, use positive words whenever you're trying to communicate.

39. Pack words with emotion - Emotion packed words are extremely useful in making people act. Just look at how George W. Bush used the word "terrorist" in his campaign against enemies of the U.S.

40. Be silent - After closing a deal, the best thing to do is to be silent. The person has already made his choice and you don't want to ruin the whole thing by accidentally giving the other guy contradicting ideas.

41. Paint pictures with words - Isn't it nice to spend some time walking at the park with those lovely trees all over the place, swaying back and forth to the flow of fresh air? You can just feel the rays of the morning sun gently touching your soft skin until, suddenly; you step on a pile of dog poo... (hehe! Just giving you a break. We're not even half-way through the list)

42. Choose the right words - Using the right words can sometimes make a big difference. Instead of saying, "Sir, I'm sure we'll have trouble convincing the staff about your plans." try, "Sir, I'm sure the staff will greatly appreciate it and give you more approval if we try other means."

43. Replace "you" with "let's" - You can get more cooperation from people by replacing "you" with "let's." The phrase "let us" gives a hint of involvement on your part. So let's try using "let's" from now on.

44. Use simple statements - Give your instructions in simple, direct, and brief statements. Not only is it easier to remember, but it is also easier to understand and absorb.

45. Use everyday language - Complicated language will only confuse your listeners and/or your readers. Sure you got an enormous vocabulary, but if you talk like an intellectually dexterous individual (geek) all the time, it's more likely that you'll just be misinterpreted.

46. Avoid vulgar and curse words - As much as possible, try to avoid using profanity in your statements (especially with new acquaintances). Most of the time, your credibility depends on the kinds of words you use.

47. Avoid jargon and technical language - If the person you're talking to is working in the same field as you are, then there's no problem with this. In most cases, however, you interact with different people. Like I said earlier, just use everyday language.

48. Keep sentences short - In the early centuries, a single sentence can stand as a whole paragraph. Today, we're clearly living in a world where a single word such as "party" is enough to say it all. With that said, "let's" "party."

49. Don't beat around the bush - If you have something to say, say it directly.

50. Use verbs - Action words are more likely to make people move. Keep in mind that the words you say are being imagined by the person you're talking to. Thought precedes movement.

51. Use words that grab attention - Words like FREE, EARN NOW, EASY, SEXY, and GUARANTEED are just few of the numerous attention grabbing words that you can use. Try to EXPERIMENT with these words by adding them in your statements.

52. Emphasize what you want - Take a look at the last sentence above.

53. Pace - Studies have found that speaking faster is more persuasive than speaking in a slow and monotonous way.

54. Avoid vocal fillers - What this means is that... uhm... well... to make... uhm... your ideas accepted... er... don't use these kinds of words when speaking.

55. Determine your pitch - Adjusting the pitch of your voice by making it lower is proven to be more effective in persuasive speech.

56. Adjust your volume - Always speak loud enough so that people can hear you. If you're speaking in front of a crowd, test the sound system first to ensure that your audience will not end up being deaf after your presentation.

57. Be more articulate - Ideas that are communicated in a smooth flow and a coherent way adds more credibility. People are more likely to act on your requests or instructions when they are able to fully understand what you're trying to say.

58. Take some time to pause - Emphasis does not necessarily mean you should only speak louder, more fluently, in a low voice, and so on. There are times when you need to pause so that people will have time to absorb what you just said.

Distinction and Contrast

59. Triple the value - If you are selling a product, people are more likely to buy it when they see an extra value. Whatever you are selling, try adding a discount, bonus products, a warranty, or anything else that will give the impression of a good deal.

60. Change their perspective - When you talk to a salesperson, try to observe how they breakdown the price of what they are selling into ridiculously small easy monthly payments. This is called reframing.

61. Shift their focus - This is a technique used by advertisers to put your attention on the "lighter" side of the picture. Is the glass half full or is it half empty? Is it bad for your purse or is it good for your health?

62. The Door-In-The Face - Make an initially huge request that has a possibility of being turned down. After getting the response, make another request that is reasonable for the other person.

63. Use Comparison - Another technique used in advertising. I'm sure you see a lot of this on television. You compare your product or request to something similar but undesirable in order to get the person to agree with you.

64. Start high with your request - When asking for a request, try to make your way through in getting a "yes" by starting off high. Large request usually get a "no" so make sure before you get down to the real request, ask for something bigger first.

65. Use the right timing - In order for the previous technique to be effective, always state your real request immediately after the earlier ones.

66. Take note of the situation - Are you in the office, in class, in a party, inside a church, or inside a bar? Different places have different moods. Be aware of the situation to be able to match the person's mood.

The Power of Suggestion

67. Expect to affect - Expectation is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Did you know that you can affect people's behavior just by showing them your expectations?

68. Consider it done! - You've probably heard this before. However, you're not supposed to be the one to say this. Whenever you send out instructions, just imagine the other person uttering these words to give strength to your unconscious signals.

69. Use persuasive suggestions - Doctors are not the only ones who can use the placebo effect. You can actually use the same principle to make people do what you want them to do.

70. Emphasize the time - What time is it? Well, it's time for you to make people do what you want instead of the other way around. Did you get the point?

71. Use their reputation - Most people strongly identify themselves with their reputation. "Boss, I know you're a generous guy. How about giving me a raise?"

72. Use embedded commands - Here's an example of an embedded command: "You can try this one right away after you finish this article. (Embedded command: "try this one right away")

73. Pacing and leading - Make the person feel comfortable and in agreement with you then try to move them in the direction that you want.

Getting People Involved

74. Increase their participation - The more a person is involved in what you are doing, the more likely it is for that person to feel connected with you.

75. Use role-playing - Celebrities often experience difficulty getting out of their roles. Pretending is an easy way to change your beliefs. Make people pretend and you'll be able to tap into their unconscious mind.

76. Ask for people's advice - Another way to get people involved is by asking for their advice. Some will even teach you how to do it the right way.

77. The Visualization technique - People who sell cars will offer a test-ride to a potential buyer. Surely, if you can visualize yourself riding a car more vividly, you're more inclined to buy.

78. Keep human contact - If you own a store, approaching your customers and making a conversation with a friendly touch is more likely to make a sale than just hanging around near your cash deposit box.

79. Create an atmosphere - Visual appeal, aroma, and music are used by many types of business establishments to create an atmosphere and to attract more customers.

80. Create tension - If there's tension, there has to be a release. Just like the plot in a movie or a novel, create tension then offer a resolution at the end.

81. Allow hands-on experience - Computer software companies release Beta versions of their products not only to test it, but to make consumers actually purchase the final version.

82. Learn how to handle objections - Let's face it. You won't be able to get people to agree with you all the time, but if you know how to handle objections, then they won't be able to escape your charm.

83. Tell mesmerizing stories - If you have the ability to tell interesting stories to your listeners or your readers, the more likely people will give you attention and the chance to persuade.

84. Use repetition - Advertisers know that a single exposure of their brand on television is not enough. That's why they continuously show the product to push it deeper inside your mind. You should do the same thing with your ideas. Push it deeper inside other people's minds.

85. Repackage your message - You can use repetition, but you don't want people to take you or your ideas for granted. Learn how to repackage your message just like how companies repackage their products.

86. Build suspense - Isn't it annoying to leave something unfinished? How about seeing that "to be continued..." message on the television series you're watching? Indeed, it keeps people coming back for more.

87. Build a competition - In order to make people loyal to your brand or to your group, there must be a competition. Create an atmosphere of "them" versus "us."

88. Engage the five senses - What enters our mind passes through our five senses. When persuading other people, try to stimulate the five senses as much as you can through the methods mentioned earlier.

Getting People's Attention

89. Present new and innovative ideas - If you know how to repeat and repackage, you should also offer something new from time to time. There are more choices today than there were before. They can leave you easily when they find something better. Don't give them the chance to do so.

90. Use quotes - "The real persuaders are our appetites, our fears and above all our vanity. The skillful propagandist stirs and coaches these internal persuaders." - Eric Hoffer (July 25, 1902 - May 21, 1983)

91. Make shocking statements - Just watch the primetime news and you'll learn how to do this in no time.

92. Give relevant examples - I think I'll leave this one alone.

93. Give shortcuts and tips - People want and need things that will make their life easier. We've all had it with this game we call life. Why not share something that is beneficial for all.

94. Learn the art of questioning - Indeed, questioning is an art. If you know how to use it well, you can enter other people's minds easily. Try these questioning techniques.

95. Make them ask - You're not the only one who should ask questions. When people don't ask, that means they are not interested. Do you have any questions?

How To Use Flattery

96. Favoritism at its finest - Favoritism in the workplace is definitely undesirable. So make everyone, in any place, your favorite and you are sure to get them to do things for you.

97. Challenge the person's ego - Do you have the guts to try out everything you've read here? Let's see!

98. Don't react; just respond - Persuasion is not about you. It's all about your purpose, and your purpose is to influence other people. Failure is sometimes inevitable, but once you've learned your lesson, brush it off and move on.

99. Make them feel important - Hitting on people's self-esteem by making them feel important is a very effective technique in persuasion. Give them a supply of importance; they'll give you a supply of favors.

100. Learn how to praise - Aside from making them "feel" important, it is also necessary that you tell people directly what you find nice about them.

101. Show appreciation - Every effort made from the other person's part should be responded to with gratitude and appreciation.

How To Use Association

102. Use endorsements - You don't always need to work alone. Persuasion also involves the help of other people. Companies rely on famous celebrities to endorse their products. If you know people with good reputations, find out how you can capitalize on your relationship with them.

103. Use the Anchor technique - Study how to tap emotions and experiences of events, places, and things inside other people's mind by using the anchor technique. The right kind of stimulus at the right setting is proven to be an effective persuasion tool.

104. Use signs and symbols - You see these everywhere. Just look around your room and see how many signs and symbols you can identify. If you want to take this seriously, you can try studying semiotics.

105. Associate positive experience - Salespeople take their clients out to lunch or dinner. Other businessmen do the same. Why? So that they can be remembered. It's just like taking your girlfriend out on a first date.

106. Use sponsorship - Many companies sponsor various events to make positive associations. If you watch sports, take a look at the banners all over the venue and try to distinguish which companies they represent.

107. Produce lasting images - Well-known personalities use different kinds of images to project the kind of qualities they want people to perceive. Have you ever tried wearing a bling-bling?

108. Make use of colors - There are many different meanings of colors. If you know what each color represents, you can use this knowledge to elicit a certain mood or feeling. Speaking of feelings, let's try to find out how to use them.

Using Emotions To Take Them Over

109. Envy - Envy is what a person feels when he perceives in himself a lack of other people's qualities, accomplishments, or material possession. Making others feel envy, however, is undesirable, but is still an effective persuasion technique.

110. Worry - Persuasion may be ineffective if the person you're trying to persuade is worried about something. Help the person get back to reality first by using positive and affirming words before applying any of the techniques here.

111. Fear - Fear is commonly used as a marketing strategy, but you can also persuade people by invoking fear with the use of your words.

112. Anger - Someone who is angry may be someone who wants attention. You just need to know how to diffuse the person's anger when it's time for you to persuade.

113. Sympathy - You see this being used a lot of times on television. Starving children, tortured animals, war victims, and so on. When people feel sympathy towards something, they are more willing to help.

114. Jealousy - Jealousy is what you feel when you see other's possessing something that you don't want them to have. There's a good chance that you can persuade a person who is jealous.

115. Shame - When people do something they regret, they may or may not be motivated to make up for their mistakes. If they still see a little bit of hope, help them get up.

116. Pity - Pity is what you feel for people who have been treated unjustly or have experienced some unfortunate events in their lives.

Using Facts and Figures

117. Cite empirical studies - People are more inclined to believe your claim if you back it up with scientific evidence. Sometimes, just adding the words "scientific findings have proven..." in your words can already make a big difference.

118. Gather testimony - There's a reason why we look at product reviews, movie reviews, book reviews, and so on. The more testimonies you can get, the more you add to the appeal of your product or claim.

119. Use statistics - Graphs, charts, statistical data, etc. All of these have numbers that will help you provide stronger evidence to your listeners or readers.

120. Create an analogy - You can sometimes go on explaining something for a long time, but people may still not be able to understand. Using analogies is just like making people watch a theatrical version of a novel.

121. Show published reports - If it's documented or published on a newspaper, then you can use it to support your claim.

Through Albino eyes

Over the past two years at least 56 albino people in Burundi and Tanzania have been killed by hunters working for witchdoctors who sell their body parts as talismans for thousands of dollars. The killings triggered a humanitarian crisis as thousands of albinos were either trapped in their villages, too frightened to move, or in the case of children abandoned in special schools for the disabled and shelters guarded by the police. The spontaneous local humanitarian response to this emergency was coordinated by the Red Cross societies of both countries. It sharply highlighted the long-standing social and health problems of Great Lakes albinos, above all the skin cancer to which so many of them succumb. More information: www.ifrc.org Year: 2009

Christmas Thoughts and The Beginning of a New Year

Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed. -Corita Kent

Have you counted your blessings?

The year 2007 is coming to an end, and many people use this time to reflect on the past 300-and-so-many days.

Reflection can be done in two directions: towards what didn't work the way you wanted it to, and towards what did work the way you wanted it to.

My personal and professional philosophy is quite simple: life "is", and you decide -by your thoughts, feelings and actions- whether you see "what is" as positive, or as negative. Simple example: for the one person a bankruptcy could be the end of the world; for the other it could be an event that makes him/her even more determined to succeed next time round. Still, whichever way you want to see it, it is still a bankruptcy. An event in life taking place. Not good, not bad. Just what it is.

The same goes for illness & health, divorces & marriages, financial hardship & prosperity, personal dilemmas & victories, deaths & births. All are events, and depending on our perspective on life will we consider these events nasty or nice.

What I would like you to do for 2007 is, put your "good" hat on, and look for the successes, victories, celebrations, highlights etc. that came your way. And for events that you originally didn't really appreciate: can you see the blessing in them, the lesson you learnt, the opportunity that lay in them?

Once you start to observe life from both sides, you will start to recognise that there is no "good" or "bad" in life as such, only good and bad in our perception of it. And no, that is not some sort of "positive thinking" hype, it is all about thinking differently, thinking both ways. I honestly think I learnt to understand this concept through and through when I studied and practiced Law. Never ever was there one side to the story, there were always at least two, but most of the time even more than two!

I've made it the foundation of my coaching and mentoring: learn to see the balance in everything, and you will be able to choose to see ANY event in your life the way you desire to. Stick to one (i.e. your own) perspective only, and you may not be able to see the "other side to the story", and could therefore miss out on a solution, or another approach or viewpoint.

Choose to look at only what went right in 2007; think about it and linger over the details. And in what hasn't seem to have been right, choose to see the lesson, the learning, the benefit in it. There will be one, when you commit to finding it. Or as Dewitt Jones once put it so aptly: choose to celebrate what is RIGHT with the world.

Set a Landmarc:

Firstly, Secondly, Thirdly and Lastly: Do it! Please! Our brain operates on "associations", which are memories we hold of events in our lives. If we can choose to hold a better memory, we will choose better actions in the future. It will be worth our while.

Have a great Christmas and New Year, and let's get together next year to make it the best year ever! I look forward to it.

Everlast - I Get By [Music Video] 2011

Government man keep calling my house talking 'bout i owe, harassing my spouse. Gotta park my truck on another block cause the sub-prime loan got my ass in hock. Gotta couple good friends with helping hands I need a brand new job with a health care plan. They closed the plant, they stole my job told me crime don't pay unless you ask the mob. So i smoke a little grass, drink a little wine. Watch a little tube, try to kill a little time. And every single day i fall a little more behind. But i'm paying it no mind, it'll all be fine. Chorus I get by (got it good) I barely get by (got it good) I barely get by I laugh not to cry I stay a little high I ain't gonna lie I barely get by I laugh not to cry I stay a little high I ain't gonna lie (got it good) Party people in the place to be Put your hands in the sky if you barely getting by It's on and on till the brake of dawn Got to keep the rent paid and the power on Yes yes y'all and it never stops. I don't trust the government, i don't trust no cops. We dip and we dive and we socialize We struggle and we strive just to stay alive. I get by I barely get by When I finally anekatips get home I can't relax. cause i've been over worked and i've been over taxed. My bank accounts empty, all my cards are maxed. and i ain't looking for no pity, i'm just stating the facts. I voted for some change and it's kinda strange, No it's all i got in my pocket. I bought a few led's, now i'm growing some trees, And it's a sweet fking hustle don't ...
