Centipedes and millipedes - legs too many to count!

The body of a centipede is slightly flattened, and in each segment (common) has only one pair of legs. The body of a centipede is more rounded, and each segment has two pairs of legs.

Centipedes and millipedes share several characteristics. Both have a large number of legs, as indicated by their names. (Centipede means "hundred feet or legs and centipedes which means" a thousand feet or legs. ") The set of 15 pairs of numbers about 200 pairs, depending on type. In both kinds of animals are long and thinbodies composed of many segments. Some are born with the total number of segments and legs, but most new segments grow as they age. The last segment is divided in two, and then again the last segment is divided again. This division continues until the animal has a number of segments in adults.

The Heads of centipedes and millipedes have long antennae and the antennae of insects. Some species have simple eyes, but others are blind. They are small insects, such as the mouth.

Centipedes and millipedeshave hard outer layer that surrounds the muscles and body organs. These deposits are used as skeletons. outer layer of the shell is dropped from time to time, allowing an increase in size. Many of the body segments are air-pores, which connect to an internal system of tubes. These tubes carry air to all parts of the body.

Centipedes and millipedes have a focal point in the head as a simple brain. A nerve cord running along the lower body with the nerve centers for all childrenbody segments.

The digestive system consists of a tube leading from the mouth through the body. The waste is delivered through the opening at the end of the body.

The system of blood circulation is very simple. Consists of a tube as the heart that pumps blood from one end of the body to another.
